Moose and calf

We happened on this moose cow and calf while we were driving south from Eagle. Note the steep terrain uphill from the road; it was just as steep going downhill, so these two were trapped on the road.

I ended up backing down the road quite a while, with these two large animals trotting along behind. We finally got to a point on the road where the cow was comfortable climbing up the slope with her calf to let us go slowly by.
