Autumn is officially here!

 It's 1 December, so it's probably time for a little chillier weather. It was just above freezing as the sun came up this morning. 

I've pulled out all the long-sleeved shirts, and have located where the long underwear is stored (it'll be time to break that out soon, as I head outside to get exercise.

I took time this morning to go find a couple of geocaches (one event, and one traditional). It's nice to get outside while the sun is out, though I didn't really do any serious hiking.

I've been working for the past couple of weeks (since Monday, 16 November 2023) to do serious planning for 2024 adventures.

County chasing (update)

Earlier, I posted my geocaching county totals near the end of 2021. 

For whatever kind of year 2022 was in other ways, it was productive in building the list of counties in which I've geocached. I started 2022 with 984 counties, and ended the year with 1291, for an increase of 307. Not too bad.

There were several big motorcycle trips -- Alaska, Key West, Ontario, Maine, and Arkansas, to name a few. Aside from being fun and interesting, they were productive in bumping the county count.

I have a few trips planned for 2023 that will continue the progress toward filling in the map, so stay tuned!
