Well, it's official. I now have an FCC license, WQAV926. It's a GMRS license, so the next step is to pass the Technician examination so I can fire up my new Kenwood TH-D7A(G).
Hi Jeffrey. I found your blog this morning while searching for information on the TH-D7A(G). I am looking at buying the radio myself and hopefully connecting it to my iPAQ 3850, ideally via Bluetooth. I am wondering if you got your license and have the rig on the air. Have you had any problems with the radio itself? Have you been able to use it to do packet as well as APRS? Charlie kc2ped@gmail.com
